Please be clarified, This is a different drive than the regular funding drive. Here we are collecting pledge of funds from members towards reimbursing the administrative costs incurred by Aman and other core IV team members. One time only. Need not pay now, just pledge your contribution by quoting the amount. We will let all the members on how to make this payment.

Got receipt notice for I-485/AP/EAD/ from USCIS today (8/30/2007). My package was delivered to Nebraska center on July/27/2007. Notice date is August 21st, 2007. My priority date is Dec/23rd/2003.

Hallo I am new to IV. B'cause I live in DC I will go and visit as many congres and senate or I will certainly visit their office workers. How do U want me to prepare to talk to these ppl? Waht papers do U want me to take along?

SORRY Fellas, I cannot send this out unless the provision for H1b nenewal be added to it. I know IVs main concern is reg the backlogged GC cases, however, I would request that future of the H1b should also be addresed. I now feel that even contributing to the IV was a mistake because you are not taking a broader view of this issue. Please try to include the clauses affecting H1bs also in your letters. Particularly simple technical aspects like renewing H1b beyond the 6 years period is a MUST and one of the things that can be MOST easily achieved if asked for.

This should not be allowed.

I was working on DC but so far just received 30 votes..
Like I said I will talk to core members if only we have 1000 members who wants to do it in DC on July 14th.. So many members are online but they don't even want to take a poll.. I don't know what to expect from members..

The EB-2 category for Indian nationals has retrogressed four years and will be set at January 1, 2000 for applications received beginning June 1st. If you are from China, the backlog is five years less - February 15, 2005. And if you are from any other country in the world, there is no wait at all. I am really appalled that Congress allows such an unjust distribution methodology to remain the law. No country is permitted to claim more than 7% of the numbers in a green card category. That means tiny countries like Andorra and Botswana get the same...

First step - Gather information and strengthen the support. Once we reach a ballpark, arrange meetings, conference calls
Finalise a lawyer ( MadhUVJ - has great suggestions on it )
Preparing an Action Plan, will be out soon.
Man-Woman-GC is gathering details.
Please join us in this effort
Folks...nothing is going to be feasible unless we have enough numbers beind us....so our sole action item for now should be to get 1000 people to pledge to this effort...one we are 1000 strong....things will start falling into place....I am sure there will be a number of attorney's who will be willing to help us spend 100 grand...;-)
