My order so far is follows
Aug 12 8AM - Email -> Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.
Aug 12 9PM - Email -> Card production ordered.
Aug 15 - Email -> Approval notice sent (for ME)
Aug 18 - Email -> Approval notice sent for Spouse
Aug 18 - Received I-797C Approval Notice for both me and spouse by USPS. In fact i received 3 original copies of the same approval for me and only 1 for my spouse.
Still waiting for the actual cards to come.
I am exactly in the same situation...Did you receive them by now?
My Details:
On 8/12/08, I saw the message "Approval Notice Sent" on USCS site for me and my wife. There was no sequence for us like Welcome Notice...Card Production ordered...Approval Notice....The first and only message was Approval notice sent.
So,
On 08/18/08 myself and my wife received the mail(post) of approval notice but we did not get the cards. Generally till now what I heard and saw in forums is....when we see the message "Approval notice sent" in the USCIS site, every body got their cards in a week after that message.
But for us we got only notices saying that it is approved and the message on the Notice says
"The above application has been approved. Prior to receiving your permanent resident card you may be required to report for biometrics processing (photo/fingerprint/signature). Please do not take any action at this time. If you are required to report for this processing, you will receive another notice advising you of the date time and location to appear.
If you have not received your permanent resident card or the above mentioned notice to appear for biometrics processing within 90 days, please call this office at the number listed below"
Please do let me know if any body in the same situation and do we need to do any thing for it.

Free riders if you are reading this and I know you are, please and please come out of your cheap mentality and donate. You know very well that saving 20$ will not help you build a TajMahal, but donating just 20$ or 50$ will make a huge difference to millions of people INCLUDING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
So don't be ashamed of yourself by not donating and donate generously.

Motivating people by solid proposals rather than silly insults and calls to their conscience by abusing it gets us nowhere.

For all those who are waiting...I would suggest one more thing, if your file is not touched. My lawyer had sent an email to NSC on Aug 2. I believe that along with my SR might have done the trick.....Sheela Murthy was my lawyer....that too might have helped....Who know what works....but we can all try.....Hope all who are stuck, get their GC by end of this month.

Yes...A thorough lawyer does this. I am very happy with my lawyer too. She was diligent and thorough...She sent a letter to TSC on the day our cases became current. She also attaches copies of CIS Memos (if applicable) when filing for extensions, reinstatements, etc. so that the IO does not raise RFEs indiscriminately...Once we got our GCs, she sent a long letter regarding Dos and Don'ts after getting Cards

This is what my lawyer says about EAD card.
"" If you want to use your EAD card, you should wait 180 days after the USCIS
received your I-485 application. You do not need to return to your sponsoring
employer if you use your EAD card after the 180 day waiting period. ""

Recapture would have solved the above problems automatically to
EB3 I issue being debated now is something we wish we could have but has not much logical ground,in my understanding. July issue is to do with flip flop of USCIS. IV didn't protest to make all current. Just made them not retract what USCIS/DOS said a month back.
2 year EAD is also for the whole community including future filers.
Clarify one thing for me. How this new rule that is helping EB2-I is impacting EB3-I. Based on what I understand, EB3 World is directly impacted by this change. Can you help me understand how EB3 -I is impacted?

I am in same situation who has sept 10th ND from TSC , no FP for me or my wife. I did open a SR and i got a response letter saying that either your FP has expired or clearance has not been received.. will send one by mail soon.
It has already been 45 days since the letter was dated. NO FP nothing.
Has going to IO helped anybody is getting a FP notice? That seems my last resort.
If its TSC then I do not think it will help at all. Whenever I talk to IO their only response if they are waiting for availability at local ASC.
So TSC people are out of luck.

I filed late June at NSC trs to Texas and received on July 2nd. Just received my RN yesterday for my 485. On line it says that my ead has been approved and the notice went out on the 25th.

What the other post said is very true. We have 45000 members in this board, a significant majority of them are EB3. Even if 50% of the members 22000 (as an example ) contributed 25$ each, IV would have more than half a million bucks. With this money EB backlog plight could easily come out in mainstream media. Just because you, as a person, contributed does not mean all of EB people are contributing. Realizing our problem is the first step in solving it. Problem is people are not willing to contribute to IV, either their money or time, but want issues solved. Doesn't work that way..
