My friend's dependent spouse got CPO approval on 9/10 and the card itself in earlier this month. However, the primary applicant has received no approval notice. Anyone with similar case?

I'm due for my H1 visa extn as it is going to expire in Apr-2010 and my employer is going to do it anytime soon. I have heard that these days USICS is extending the H1 based on the project end date mentioned on Purchase Order, if that is the case then
[1] does it mean that we can get extn only for 6 months or so instead of 3 yrs [if your I-140 is approved]?
[2] And after six months do we again have to file for extn and pay all the fees again ?
Any help on this issue is highly appreciated.

Congrats to 12/2004 PD holders.

If I have applied for 485 can I still do that ?
I think you are only supposed to get 1 year extensions if your LC/I-140 was filed atleast 365 days ago, but I have seen atleast two people get 3 year extensions even though they had filed I-485, just because their PD was not current.
Its USCIS discretion or interpretation of their rules. Ask your attorneys to request 3 years when they file.
I am going the other way (just got a 3 year extension approved 2 days before that announcement that dates are current again) and will be filing 485 now.

We gave them the 485 receipt and both the EADs and this is all information he actually asked for and said at the end that the system did not let him give us the DL as it needed more info.

Based on our experience, my husband's lawyer applied for I-140 premium processing and after it was approved we were able to file for an extension of 3 years since I-485 is still retrogressed and we got approved for that one as well.
My 6 yrs are getting over in Jan 2008.
1. Can I apply for H1 extension request for 3 yrs instead of EAD?
2. Or with EAD?

My wife was on OPT and working off a valid approval notice. It is a first time H1 stamping. She has a Phd in biology and therefore the 221g which includes a 'invitation letter'. The instructions are confusing. On the 221g, it asks for a scanned document and the email ack says send only .txt.

If you look at those two forms, one 325A has a space for "Date and Place of Termination of Marriage". Form 325 does not have a space for that. They apparently want that information so you should update your filing with the proper form.

How can you have an expired I94 and valid H1B? It is technically not possible.
When your H1B expires when you are in the US and you apply for an extension of the H1B along with an extension of the stay of the person(s) since they now hold this status, you get a I797 where the right bottom part is your NEW I94. You are supposed to staple this to the old I94 in your passport and surrender the same when you fly out of the country to a non contiguous territory
That is how you were able to travel!!!!!!!
As for Automatic revalidation here is the link to the State Dept site:
